Musokotwane Visit
Mr. Ranjan was invited to meet a group of differently-abled persons in Musokotwane Chiefdom. The group wanted to share their project proposal and vision. They intend to start up a project that will help them raise funds to support themselves. They proposed to start up poultry, piggery and fish farming projects.
They have been given a piece of land to use for their project and are requesting for support from Mr. Ranjan to help them actualize the proposed projects. However, Mr. Ranjan advised them to first have their group officially registered with the relevant authorities and open up a bank account. He further advised them to focus on one project at a time as that will help them achieve their intended goal. He also pledged a K1, 000 towards the registration of the group.
Rotary International Convention
Mr. Ranjan had travelled to the United States to attend a Rotary International Convention. He was representing the Rotary Club of Livingstone as Club President. He was accompanied by Rotarian Clement. During the convention, Club President Antony was selling Rotary shirts, hats and aprons that were made by the Kwenuha Women Group. The group was formed to help women who are found on the streets doing prostitution to acquire a skill for themselves. The women are trained in tailoring and other life skills. We thank God that he was able to sell most of the products and all proceeds are going towards the continuation of the women’s project.
